Alcove organizes the Windows desktop into named drawers for files, folders and application shortcuts. Drawers can show live folder contents and retain separate layouts on different monitors. A frequently used items strip and keyboard search help users find and open items through their normal Windows associations. Its interface takes its colours from the desktop wallpaper.
