awase is a keyboard remapping utility that enables NICOLA thumb-shift Japanese entry on Windows. It interprets combinations of character and thumb keys and passes input to Microsoft IME or Google Japanese Input. Users can edit Yamabuki-compatible layout files and adjust key assignments and timing through its settings interface. An optional n-gram model uses Japanese text statistics to help resolve ambiguous keystrokes.
