GitSearcher locates Git repositories by scanning a directory tree for .git folders. The project provides a command-line scanner and a graphical interface for Windows, with a separate Linux command-line download. The scanner collects repository paths, branch names and activity timestamps, then writes results to a JSON file ordered by activity. It skips directories that cannot be accessed and reports scanning errors.
