Recast is a local-first screen recording and editing application. It records the screen and adds automatic zoom, cursor smoothing, captions and annotations, then exports the result on the user’s own machine. Captions are generated on-device with speech recognition models and silence can be trimmed automatically. Windows is the stable platform, with macOS and Linux builds in beta.
