RAG Assistant for Zotero is an open-source desktop application that indexes the PDFs in a Zotero library and answers questions about them using retrieval-augmented generation. Answers include citations to the source documents and pages. Search combines semantic embeddings with keyword matching and can be filtered by year, tags, collections or authors. It can run with local models or with cloud model providers.
